Ways to Give

Your tax-deductible gift will sustain and expand Mr. Hershey's vision.

Making Your Gift

  • You may make your gift to the M.S. Hershey Foundation to help continue Milton S. Hershey’s vision to provide cultural and educational opportunities for residents and visitors to the model town he created.
  • You may designate your gift to Hershey Gardens, Hershey Museum, Hershey Theatre, or Hershey Community Archives.

Cash Gifts: All cash gifts can be made directly to The M.S Hershey Foundation through a check or by using your VISA or MasterCard.

Gifts of Securities: Gifts of appreciated securities may provide significant tax savings to you. Contributions of capital assets such as stocks enable you to receive a charitable income tax deduction and avoid capital gains tax on the sale of the securities.

Gifts of Real Estate: A gift of real property may help you meet your charitable objectives and reduce your estate or income taxes while providing significant support to The M.S. Hershey Foundation. A representative of The Foundation will be happy to discuss transfer of real property through an outright gift, Charitable Remainder Trust, Bargain Sale or Life Tenancy Agreement with you and your attorney, accountant or financial advisor.

Bequests: Your bequest to the M.S. Hershey Foundation or one of its operating entities will be added to the endowment, helping support the cultural and educational enrichment to Hershey residents and visitors forever.

Life Insurance or Retirement Plans: Designating The M.S. Hershey Foundation as the beneficiary of your life insurance or retirement plan allows you to make a sizable gift that will support the work of The M.S. Hershey Foundation or its entities while reducing your estate taxes.

Charitable Remainder Trusts: Transferring your appreciated property to a Charitable Remainder Trust allows you to make a significant contribution to The M.S. Hershey Foundation or its entities with substantial reductions in your income, capital gains and estate taxes.

Matching Gifts: If your employer offers a matching gift, please let us know.

EITC, Pennsylvania's Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program: Reduce your business's tax liability and support The M.S. Hershey Foundation.
